BEE-Rent sustainability project

As Einstein said: "Once the bee disappears from the earth, man has only four years to live. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more humans.

Vital for us and our ecosystem: Many people associate bees primarily with honey. Yet bees are responsible for over 80% of the pollination of all natural and forest plants. We see it as our common task to actively ensure the survival of our precious honey bee.

A decline or even the absence of natural pollination, which cannot really be replaced, would have serious consequences for the entire ecosystem and thus for all people on this earth.

Through the Bremen-based start-up BEE-Rent, we have rented a beehive consisting of a honey bee colony with up to 50,000 bees. In this way, we ensure more diversity and yield (e.g. fruit trees) in our region.

Together with experienced beekeepers who look after our bee colony all year round - from setting it up and caring for it, to harvesting and winter rest, we are creating a new habitat and a new future for the bees.
